At our church, in our ward we have had three sets of twins born since Thanksgiving. Two of the moms had baby showers. But one mom, Denae, did not have a shower. Her babies were born on New Years day, and they were 4-5 weeks early taking everyone by surprise! The babies, both boys, did not come home for a couple of weeks and even then they did not make their public debut for weeks. But the time had come for Denae’s baby shower for her twin boys. I did a “Rubber Duck” theme, using blues and yellow.
The invitation: 
A sign greeted people as they arrived.
“Baby Shower!” sign announced this is the place for the shower.
A cheerful sign welcomed people to the shower.
A table was set out with antique glass luncheon plates, a milk bottle glasses and a “nut cup” with blue chocolate sixlets and yellow duck candies. A duck napkin accented yellow plasticware wrapped in a yellow napkin.
The centerpiece was a glass bowl on glass blocks. Blue glass gravel covered the bottom of the bowl and glass bubbles were set around a rubber duck. Decorative accents in blue and yellow were behind the table and hanging above the table.

Centerpiece was glass blocks, with coordinating ribbon wrapped around blocks.
A glass bowl with blue glass aquarium gravel and glass bubbles was the perfect bubbly bath for a large rubber duck.
The rubber duckies (small ones) were ordered from http://www.partycity.com.
The one large rubber duck was ordered from http://www.TinToyArcade.com.
The nut cup had a mix of chocolate and yellow duck candy.
The blue ducky candy mix I made from mixing: mini milk chocolate balls in navy blue, azure blue and light blue and yellow (sweet tart) candy ducks. All were ordered from http://www.candywarehouse.com.
My dining room table was the setting for gifts. It was decorated with a coordinating centerpiece, flowers and balloons.

The baby ducks floated in a large glass bowl with blue water. They were surrounded by yellow roses and accent balloons. Duck and bubble confetti accented the area around the centerpiece.

The shower was a breakfast brunch in which we served breakfast casseroles, muffins, yogurt fruit parfaits and fruit kabobs.
Mini parfaits were served in cordial glasses.
A choice of beverages included water with lemon, or milk, or an assortment of “yellow” drinks; orange juice, orange juice and mango, or pineapple orange banana drink.
And of course there were little yellow ducks swimming in each drink…
THE FAVORS:
For the take home favor I made blue bubble bath and designed coordinating labels and tags. But then I also happened to find on the internet the chocolate yellow ducks…so I couldn’t resist. They were the final touch to the yellow duck baby shower. The Bubble Bath Favors
I have had so many ask where I got the bubble bath…
I actually made the bubble bath…it is not hard to do. Here’s how you do it:

I heated the bubble bath in a double boiler slightly and broke off pieces of the color bar and dissolved (by stirring) in the bubble bath until I got the color I wanted. Added the fragrance a little at a time until I got the fragrance strength I wanted. I then poured the bubble bath into the plastic bottles and capped them.
I also made the label and glued onto each bottle. Added the tag I made and voila! A very personal shower favor!
