Kids Activity Center

January 30, 2014 by shelley

I decided to make a place for grandkids to call their own while at grandma’s house celebrating Christmas.  I set up a table just for them with some fun activities like coloring.  The coloring included coloring books, printouts from websites, sticker books and inexpensive projects from Hobby stores i.e. Hobby Lobby/Michaels etc.  They could play with Paydough  (Homemade-Playdough recipe) (or to download to your computer Homemade Playdough recipe).   They painted Santa Ornaments for the Santa Tree.  They could even eat at their table.

The effort was well worth it!

I made some santa ornaments using cookie molds and air dry clay. My grandchildren painted the santa ornaments. We wrote the name and the year on the back of their ornament and hung them on the santa tree. I plan on having them paint one each year and decorating the santa tree with their hand painted ornaments. Their parents even got involved in this project.DSCN2615 DSCN2616 DSCN2617
