Merry Grinchmas!
A very “grinchy” grinch party sounded like a great idea to make the grandchildren’s Christmas visit memorable. I started with special Grinch party invitations for each grandchild.
One for each grandchild
All tied up in a bow
The kitchen was decorated for the Grinch Party…Whoville…
My granddaughter Becca decided she wanted to help so she drew Whoville. I decided to use it as our centerpiece.
Becca also had a wonderful idea. In the story of “How the Grinch Stole Christmas” the Grinch takes all the presents. So she wanted to hide presents around the house and let people find the hidden presents. She and I went to Target bought everyone some small presents, wrapped them and hide them so they could go on a present hunt and find the presents the Grinch had hidden. Becca never even asked for one present for herself and helped every step of the way and directed the present hunt. I was so proud of my sweet granddaughter.
We ate a grinch dinner of Who Roast Beast (Chicken); Who Hash, but our Who Hash was green macaroni and cheese…”Who-roni” (I knew no one would eat hash); Green Beans; Green Jello; Grinch Milk; Green tapioca pudding (pudding bar); cookies; cupcakes; green candy canes.
AND then we watch the movie, “How the Grinch Stole Christmas” with green Grinch Popcorn, Cake Pops with green and red chocolate money wafers, and Candy
And everyone got their own copy of the book, “How the Grinch Stole Christmas”!
