Aaarrrggghhh…..time has gotten away from me and I have not put up a post in months!!! And so much has happened. After I got back from the birth of baby Caroline, Bob and I went to Chicago for his meeting, I prepared 3 church history presentations for a youth group and then a big push to get Young Women in Excellence ready for our ward. I then went to Chicago for SOFA, came home and turned around and went to California for Jack’s first birthday. I came home decorated the Independence Church Visitor’s Center for Christmas and then we took off to North Carolina for Thanksgiving. This was the first time in our whole married life that Bob and I did not have Thanksgiving at home. Came home and did the Christmas tree farm (had to do it with Andrea’s kids), decorated for Christmas and then Jen and family came. Christmas was a very very busy time, but this year there were a couple of things that put a damper on our Christmas celebration. Bob’s mother passed away on December 13th. She lived a rich, full 95 years, but it is always hard to say goodbye. The second thing that happened putting a damper on our home was baby Caroline got sick right after Christmas with RSV and was hospitalized for 5 days. So as you well imagine there was a some worry going on by everyone. B.J. and Jen and Jack had a 30+ hour ordeal trying to get to Kansas City for Christmas and I dropped my camera and lost my camera memory card (so unable to share pictures of many of these events) were just a couple of the “typical” difficulties we seemed to encounter this year which, contributed to the “not so perfect” Christmas. But Caroline recovered, our family was together…we got to bless Caroline in a very private blessing ceremony at our house with just close friends and family and we got to celebrate another year as a family. So all in all it wasn’t “perfect” but it wasn’t so bad either.
