Sweetheart sweater for sweetheart Caroline.

Having already made a sweater for my grandchildren Becca, Henry and Jack (last year) I decided it was time to get out the knitting needles again. Caroline has not received one so I decided hers would be the first one I did this time around. I found an adorable sweater and hat called Sweetheart Sweater Set (the knitting pattern is a free download). (Or here’s a pdf copy of sweetheart sweater set knitting pattern).

Just wanted to share a couple of cute pictures of Caroline…

Love her look at discovering for the first time a butterfly:

Caroline’s puzzled look upon seeing a butterfly for the first time was so endearing…it’s a strange, strange world.

Also loved her undiluted love of “driving” for the first time, Caroline just couldn’t hide her delight:

The storm…

The day after Christmas, Caroline became sick. She ended up in Children’s hospital for 5 days, a very sick little baby. Jen and Adam stayed with her the entire time. So we had a house full of people that were very tired, stressed but most of all very concerned. Not the Christmas vacation we had planned. Caroline finally was released from the hospital and we were able to have her blessing in a very private, small gathering of close family and friends. She was blessed in the same dress as her sister Becca had been blessed in when she was a baby.
