I gave my car to Jen, Adam and family. Their “blackie” has died so they are getting “blackie II” even though it is almost 15 years old it still runs!
My new car is gray, but has not been named yet.
Most people wash their cars at the car wash…my car dies at the car wash.
I thought it would be a good idea to get my car washed today. It had been a while since I have cleaned the car. I load the car with all the stuff to complete my many errands; packages to send, bags (numerous) and boxes for Goodwill, and store returns to be made. I also needed to go to the storage unit and get the large wooden jack-o-latern for the bean bag toss game. The large jack-o-latern is to be delivered to the church for the Halloween Carnival. The car is stuffed completely full, even the trunk. I head out with a long list of things to complete. I fill the car with gas and then drive into the drive-through car wash. The wash is completed, and the blower starts, I start to drive out of the car wash and the car dies. I try to start it … but nothing. I wait a few minutes and still nothing. I let the owner of the station know my car has died in his car wash and I cannot get it started. Needless to say he’s not happy about it, but he offers no help. I call AAA and wait. AAA is super and extracts my car out of the car wash and tows it to the dealer. I should get my car back tomorrow, hopefully. I still have my many errands to do. I still have the car packed full. However, in the future I will just let the car be dirty. I will avoid car washes for a while.
