Visiting the Longs
One of the great things about going to BYU’s Women’s Conference is it puts me in the same state as my daughter Jen, her husband Adam and their children Becca, Henry, Caroline and Emily! I left early for Women’s Conference to give me some time with them and to arrive in time to catch some of their year-end activities and programs! I even got to celebrate my birthday with them….

Visiting the Cowleys and celebrating Bob’s birthday
We first met the Sam and Carole Cowley when we moved to Kansas City in 1984. We became close friends and they have been good friends ever since. They moved to Salt Lake City some years ago. So every time we visit Salt Lake City we try and see them and catch up with all the latest. This year we also got to celebrate Bob’s birthday with them.

Jack’s First Birthday!
I can’t believe it has been one year since Jack was born, but he turned one year old November 12, 2012. Bob and I decided we had to celebrate with him. Bob also wanted to go to his annual Stanford football game. So we headed to Palo Alto.
Happy 1st Birthday Jack!!
First we had to go shopping for presents to celebrate that first birthday. Here I am with Jack and Grandma Jean at Cheeky Monkey Toys.
I just had to take a picture of this eucalyptus tree, it was just so photogenic. Of course, this area is so scenic.
