This is the Place Heritage Park
In Utah “This Is The Place, Drive On” has special meaning. When Brigham Young looked out over the Salt Lake Valley from the mouth of Emigration Canyon and said those now immortal words, it was then the pioneers knew they had arrived at the place where they were to end their long journey. THIS IS THE PLACE HERITAGE PARK celebrates that moment for the Pioneers. It has grown into a phenomenal place for families and visitors to visit.
We spent the rest of Pioneer Day at Heritage Park. The big draw for the grandkids to go on pioneer day is the candy cannon and the watermelon eating contest and of course eating Brigham’s Doughnuts.
