Continuing Pioneer Day celebration at
This Is The Place Heritage Park
An exhibit we had not visited extensively before was the Native American Village. The Native American Village represents the five indigenous tribes that inhabited the area that became Utah. Those tribes consisted of the Ute, Navajo, Paiute, Goshute and Shoshone. Each had its own territory, as indicated on the map, as well as its own culture, traditions, and language. Those differences were due in part to the diverse climate and geography of Utah. It is quite a show they put on with native American dances. The costumes are incredible!
