Adorable knit baby hats; strawberry, watermelon, lemon and bunny knit baby hat.

June 19, 2013 by shelley

I signed up for the vintage fashion show by donating hand knit baby hats.  One week before the fashion show I decided I better get busy.  I found a cute pattern on line for a strawberry knit baby hat.  I used the same pattern and adjusted it to make a watermelon knit baby hat and a lemon knit baby hat.  I also found a cute pattern for a bunny hat.  The strawberry hat was so cut I had to make one for my granddaughter Caroline.  She of course wore it to pick strawberries.

Updated and clarified!

Update:  I have sent this pattern out many, many times and I have no idea how many people have downloaded the pattern.  But I recently heard from someone that downloaded the strawberry hat pattern and hit a snag trying to following the directions…and I thought she was right it was not quite right…just not very clear.   I have clarified and updated the instructions so they reflect the changes so they are now much easier to follow.  She completed her strawberry hat and sent a picture of it to me!  It turned out gorgeous!!  A big thank you to Lindsey Tsuboi!!!  Here is her hat:

Variations on the same theme…..

And with slight alterations I made a watermelon hat and a lemon hat:

And finally a bunny knit baby hat (the bunny hat is a different pattern-it is more difficult than the others:

Roaaar! Jack’s new sweater!

June 8, 2012 by shelley

I finished Jack’s new sweater with a roaring cute lion on the front.  I had some yarn left over so I added the cap.  Can’t wait to get the pictures of him in it!

I finished knitting the sweater (x’s and o’x for hugs and kisses) for Henry (Grandpa picked the buttons), and off it went to him in North Carolina:

January 3, 2010 by shelley

While Jen and B. J. were home, Jen wanted to learn to knit. We were successful in that endeavor.
